Ziraldo

Ziraldo Alves Pinto (born on October 24, 1932, in Caratinga, Minas Gerais, Brazil) is one of the most influential figures in Brazilian graphic humor and children's literature. Throughout his multifaceted career, he has worked as a cartoonist, illustrator, painter, playwright, caricaturist, writer, columnist, lawyer and journalist. He achieved widespread recognition with iconic characters such as “Menino Maluquinho” and is regarded today as one of the most acclaimed and beloved children's authors in Brazil. He is the father of filmmaker Daniela Thomas and composer Antonio Pinto.
