Yugo Mabe

Yugo Mabe was born in Lins, São Paulo, in 1955. A painter, he graduated in Communication from the Faculdades Integradas Alcântara Machado (FIAM) in 1977, but never pursued a career in advertising. The son of renowned painter Manabu Mabe (1924-1997), Yugo was exposed to the art world from an early age, surrounded by his father's work and that of artists like Aldemir Martins, Arcangelo Ianelli, Tomie Ohtake, and Tikashi Fukushima.

Since the early 1970s, Yugo Mabe has participated in group exhibitions, standing out in important salons. He was awarded at the Bunkyo Salons in 1972 and 1975, and at the Paulista Salon of Fine Arts in 1975 and 1982, solidifying his trajectory in the Brazilian art scene.
