Brazil - 1979Maria Luciene da Silva Siqueira, known artistically as Sil, was born in Capela, Alagoas, in 1979. She worked as a day laborer in sugarcane cutting until 2001, when she met the ceramist João das Alagoas. This encounter ignited her interest and passion for artistic creation. Since then, Sil has distinguished herself with her realistic works, executed with pronounced meticulousness, making her one of the most notable talents to emerge in Brazil in recent years. Her ability to capture the essence and details of the figures she creates places her at a high level in the Brazilian art scene.
