Rodrigo Pecci

Rodrigo Pecci was born in Porto Alegre on December 29, 1976, and moved to Passo Fundo during his childhood. A painter, sculptor, and printmaker, he began his artistic journey as an intern at the Atelier Livre of Porto Alegre City Hall and the Fundação Iberê Camargo.

Pecci worked as a technician, printer, engraver, and teacher at the Museu do Trabalho, a significant graphic arts center and reference in Rio Grande do Sul. He participated in salons, solo, and group exhibitions in the same city. In 2009, he won the Açorianos de Artes Plásticas Award in "Printmaking Highlight" with his solo exhibition at Galeria Arte Fato.

In 2011, he moved to São Paulo, where he continued his work in printmaking, teaching at the Instituto Tomie Ohtake, the Oficina Oswald de Andrade, and private studios. He held two solo painting exhibitions at Estúdio Lâmina and Matilha Cultural.

In 2017, Pecci participated in an artist residency at the Joan Mitchell Center in New Orleans, USA, where he stayed until 2018 with his studio. He held solo exhibitions at May Gallery and participated in group exhibitions and fairs in New York.

Currently, Pecci lives and works in São Paulo, where he develops his works with social themes, such as refugees.
