Renata Basile

Born in Casa Branca, SP, in 1962, Renata Basile is a renowned visual artist. Her artistic research began with image reproduction processes such as handmade and wooden stamps, collography, monotype, woodcut, photogravure, pochoir, and metal engraving. She studied under prominent figures like Evandro Jardim, Regina Silveira, and Carlos Fajardo. Additionally, she holds a degree in Fine Arts from the Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado (FAAP).

In her engravings, Renata explores issues related to the multiplicity of images, support, and spatiality. Her skill and innovation were internationally recognized when she received the Acquisition Award at the International Print Triennial in Krakow, Poland. Her works are part of significant collections, including the Fundação Cultural de Curitiba, SESC São Paulo, Centro Cultural São Paulo, International Print Triennial Society in Poland, Museo Nacional de Havana in Cuba, and the Museum of Print Art in Poland.
