Ramatis

Ramatis Haywanon da Costa is a renowned Brazilian photographer and art director, dedicated to producing street photography, urban landscapes, creative and conceptual photography, as well as works aimed at the art and decoration market.

In 2019, Ramatis submitted his first photo essay to the Paraty em Foco festival, where he was selected as a finalist with the work "Elas pelas Janelas" ("Them Through the Windows"). This same essay was also a finalist at Fotosururu and selected for the virtual exhibition of the Encontro na Esquina do Brasil, in Rio Grande do Norte, in 2020. In the same year, his essay "Tarja Preta" ("Black Label") was pre-selected at both Fotosururu and Paraty em Foco. In 2021, Ramatis was again pre-selected at Paraty em Foco, this time with the essay "Metalmorfose," which is available for sale on the Blombô website.

Ramatis' works, produced in essay and series formats, possess a humanistic and intimate vision, guiding viewers through unexpected narratives and sparking reflection on various themes. His individual photographs with strong visual impact have also received recognition and selection at other national festivals.

In addition to his work as a photographer, Ramatis is a businessman and the creative director of the nationally and internationally awarded advertising agency Six Propaganda. During the pandemic, he was one of the creators and executors of the project "Fotografia que Manda Ver," aimed at promoting the work of photographers from Alagoas and donating the proceeds to the NGO Manda Ver, which develops social projects for children and adolescents in the lagoon region of Maceió.
