Pedro Wrede

Pedro Wrede was born in 1952 in Rio de Janeiro and lived abroad for many years, resulting in a diverse artistic education. From 1970 to 1974, he studied in Uruguay with Alceu Ribeiro, and from 1976 to 1979, he studied with Guilherme Fernandes, who was part of the Taller Torres Garcia. After these formative years, he decided to live in Spain, where he also exhibited in Portugal and Switzerland.

In 1993, he returned to Brazil and began exhibiting in national galleries, with Galeria Tina Zappoli being the first to showcase his work in the country. Since 2003, Pedro Wrede has been active internationally, participating in various fairs and galleries. Currently, he lives and works in a peaceful location in the mountainous region near the city of Rio de Janeiro.
