Paulo Whitaker

Paulo Whitaker was born in São Paulo in 1958. He graduated in Art Education from the Universidade para o Desenvolvimento do Estado de Santa Catarina (UDESC/SC) in 1984. Whitaker attended several artist residencies throughout his career, including Plug In ICA in Winnipeg, Canada (1991), E-Werk Freiburg in Freiburg, Germany (1992), and the Banff Centre for the Arts in Banff, Canada (1999). He lives and works in São Paulo.

Whitaker is known for his unique approach to painting and visual arts, characterized by a continuous exploration of forms, colors, and compositions. His works often feature a fusion of abstract and figurative elements, creating a distinctive aesthetic that challenges traditional art conventions.

He has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Brazil and abroad, establishing himself as a prominent figure in the contemporary art scene. His work is featured in various private and public collections, reflecting the breadth and depth of his artistic practice.
