Marcelo Catalano

Graduated in journalism, the artist began his artistic studies in 1999 at the renowned Escola de Artes Visuais do Parque Lage in Rio de Janeiro. Under the guidance of esteemed professors such as Ronaldo Macedo, Anna Bella Geiger, Fernando Cocchiarale, and Daniel Senise, he deepened his knowledge in painting techniques, visual experimentation, and critical analysis of contemporary art.

Early in his career, his talent was recognized when he received the "Heineken New Talents in Painting" award, with his work exhibited at the Museu da República in Rio de Janeiro. This milestone propelled his career and brought him into the spotlight of the Brazilian art scene.

With a style that navigates between figurative and abstract art, the artist explores themes that resonate with memory, daily life, and the nuances of human experience. His works have been featured in solo and group exhibitions, attracting the attention of collectors and critics for their originality and ability to spark reflection.
