Juarez Machado

Juarez Machado, born in 1941 in Joinville, Santa Catarina, is a versatile artist who began his studies at the School of Fine Arts of Paraná, in Curitiba. In 1966, he moved to Rio de Janeiro, where he expanded his career beyond painting to include illustration, set design for theater and television, sculpture, and humor engraving.

Throughout his career, Machado has been recognized with various awards in Brazil and internationally. Since 1986, he has been residing in Paris, where he regularly exhibits. In addition to Paris, he maintains studios in Rio de Janeiro and his hometown, Joinville, demonstrating his ongoing connection to Brazil while standing out in the European art scene.
