Josilton Tonm

Josilton Tonm, a talented self-taught artist, has had a notable presence in several group exhibitions and has stood out in three editions of the Recôncavo Biennial, held by the Dannemann Cultural Center in São Felix, Bahia. In the last edition, in 2012, his work was recognized with the Acquisition Prize, becoming part of the institution's permanent collection. Among other notable participations, he featured in the MAM Proposal Exhibition in Salvador in 1980; at the Meeting of Northeastern Plastic Artists in Salvador in 1981; and at the IX National Salon of Plastic Arts in Recife in 1986. Moreover, Josilton has held several individual exhibitions in Salvador and other cities, solidifying his reputation as a significant figure in the artistic landscape.
