José Gonçalves

José Gonçalves, born in 1966, is a Brazilian artist whose academic background in Architecture and Urban Planning from the State University of Londrina, Paraná in 1986, was just the beginning of his artistic journey. In 1991, he turned to painting, exploring the visual and thematic possibilities of this art form. José is known for his exhibitions both in Brazil and internationally, demonstrating a unique ability to capture visual and emotional fragments through his works.

His exhibitions reveal a constant evolution in his style and approach. Since his first solo exhibition in 1992, he has participated in numerous shows, standing out in galleries such as Zilda Fraletti Art Gallery in Curitiba and Judi Rotenberg Gallery in Boston. His work "Recent Works" in 2015 at Jco's Fine Art in Los Gatos, California, is an example of the maturity and refinement of his work.
