Guilherme Ghisoni

Born in Brazil in 1976, Guilherme Ghisoni is a renowned photographer and academic. He holds a PhD in Philosophy from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), and his educational background also includes an undergraduate and master's degree in Philosophy from the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR). During his doctoral studies, he had the opportunity to enhance his education at the Université Pierre-Mendès-France in Grenoble, France.

Ghisoni has an outstanding record of awards, including the ANPOF Prize for Best Philosophy Dissertation in Brazil (2006-2007) and the Academic Highlight of the Year title from UFPR in 2010. His career also extends to the United Kingdom, where he studied photography at Working Men College and Kingsway College in London, and earned a professional musician certification from the London Music School.

An author of various articles and book chapters, his works delve into topics such as the philosophy of language, time, memory, and photography. Currently, he coordinates the Philosophy of Photography Research Laboratory at the Federal University of Goiás (UFG), where he also teaches Analytical Contemporary Philosophy and Philosophy of Language. His research as a photographer reflects his philosophical passion, exploring the intersection between image and thought.
