Gabriel Wickbold

Gabriel Wickbold, born in Rio de Janeiro in 1984, began his career as a photographer in 2006 after exploring poetry and music. Throughout his career, Wickbold has produced six authorial series and has exhibited his works in cities such as São Paulo, New York, Stockholm, Lisbon, London, and Miami. Currently, more than 15 of his works are part of the permanent collections of prestigious museums, such as Erarta (St. Petersburg, Russia) and the Brazilian Art Museum (MAB) in São Paulo, Brazil.

In 2019, Wickbold partnered with BMW to showcase his work during the opening week of Paris Photo. In the same year, he was the honored photographer at the Xposure International Photography Festival in the United Arab Emirates. In 2020, he became the youngest artist to hold a solo exhibition at the MAB of FAAP and was named one of the "Men of the Year" by GQ magazine. Today, Gabriel Wickbold is recognized as one of the leading contemporary Brazilian artists.
