Frank Stella

Frank Philip Stella, born in 1936 in the United States, studied painting at Phillips Academy and Art History at Princeton University. Initially, his work was linked to Abstract Expressionism, but from 1960 onwards, Stella engaged in Constructivism. His artistic expression spans paintings, objects, graphics, and sculptures. He participated in major international events, including the Venice Biennales in 1972 and 1979, the São Paulo Biennial, and the VI Documenta in Kassel. His works were the subject of an individual exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and a retrospective at MoMA. In 2004, Stella had works exhibited in Brazil in a joint show with artist Nuno Ramos.
