Fernando Odriozola

Fernando Pascual Odriozola (Oviedo, Spain, 1921 - São Paulo, Brazil, 1986) was a painter, draftsman, and engraver whose artistic career began in 1936. He moved to São Paulo in 1953, where he would establish a significant trajectory in the Brazilian visual arts scene.

In 1954, Odriozola had his first solo exhibition at the Portinari Gallery in São Paulo. The following year, the São Paulo Museum of Modern Art (MAM/SP) dedicated another solo exhibition to him, consolidating his position in the city's artistic landscape.

The artist passed away in 1986, and in the same year, the São Paulo Cultural Center (CCSP) held a posthumous retrospective, recognizing the importance of his work and his lasting impact on the artistic community. Odriozola's works are known for their expressiveness and refined technique, characteristics that continue to attract critical appreciation and public admiration.
