Félix Mendes
BrazilFélix Mendes Rodrigues, born in the city of Estância, had been a long-time resident of Siriri Street, where, in the 1980s, he created cultural events such as the Forró and Christmas on Siriri Street. With an artistic career that extended beyond state borders and even internationally, Félix Mendes had his works exhibited in various states of Brazil and in Latin American countries. According to Luiz Adelmo, director of the Álvaro Santos Art Gallery, Félix was the first naïve artist from Sergipe, marking his position as a pioneer in this artistic style in the state.
