Eduardo Stupía

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1951, Eduardo Stupía studied at the Manuel Belgrano National School of Fine Arts in Buenos Aires. A visual artist with an established career, he has participated in both individual and group exhibitions in Argentina and internationally since 1973. From 1992 to 2011, Stupía served as the art director of the quarterly Diario de Poesía and is currently a member of the editorial board of the cultural magazine Las Ranas. He has been teaching Visual Arts since 1986 and has acted as a jury member for national and municipal awards, as well as for film festivals. He is the author of numerous reviews on artists and exhibitions, as well as articles on aesthetics and art politics published in local and international media.

In 2012, he was invited to exhibit an individual show at the 30th São Paulo Biennial. Stupía frequently participates in group exhibitions, awards, and national and international salons. He has won the two most important awards in his country, the Grand Prize at the National Salon and the Grand Prize at the Manuel Belgrano Municipal Salon in the Drawing category.

He currently lives and works in Buenos Aires.
