Ding Musa

Ding Musa, born in 1979 in Brazil, is a multifaceted artist who studied Music and Geography at the University of São Paulo and graduated in Photography from Senac. While his art primarily focuses on photography, his portfolio also includes video, drawing, and installation. Since 2002, Ding Musa has been exhibiting his work in both national and international shows. He participated in artist residencies such as tactileBOSCH in Cardiff, Wales (2004), Carpe Diem Art and Research in Lisbon, Portugal (2012), and the C.A.J. Artist In Residence Program in Tokyo, Japan (2015). Additionally, he taught History of Photography at Senac and Sesc Santana in 2009 and 2010, respectively, and worked as a director of photography in cinema, including short films, series, and documentaries. He recently contributed to the feature film "Campo da Paz," made in Palestine.

Ding Musa's works are present in various museums in Brazil and abroad, including the Museums of Modern Art of Salvador, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Fortaleza (Centro Dragão do Mar), the Museum of Contemporary Art of Goiás, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Paraná, the Museum of the State of Pará, the Art Salon of Ribeirão Preto, and the Municipal Collection at the São Paulo Cultural Center. Recently, the Museum of Contemporary Art at the University of São Paulo and the Museum of Art of Rio Grande do Sul acquired series of his works. Ding Musa has been represented by Raquel Arnaud Gallery since 2014, the year he held the solo exhibition "Equations."
