Arthur Palhano
Arthur Palhano (Rio de Janeiro, 1996) lives and works in São Paulo. His work spans painting, objects, and sculpture, exploring pictorial construction and the symbolic interplay between elements. He employs a layered scraping process, allowing images to gradually emerge from beneath textured oil paint and enamel surfaces. This method imbues his pieces with a sense of time’s passage, revealed through fissures and marks formed by the sedimentation of matter.
In 2019, he took part in the Formação e Deformação Program at the Escola de Artes Visuais do Parque Lage (EAV) in Rio de Janeiro.
