Andrea Facchini

Andréa Facchini, a visual artist born in Cataguases, MG, lives and works in Niterói, RJ. She graduated in Visual Communication from the School of Fine Arts at UFRJ and holds a degree in Art Education from UNIVERSO, Niterói. She attended courses at Parque Lage and was part of the Alice and Ateliê APipa groups.

Solo Exhibitions:
In Rio de Janeiro, she presented “Outras Margens” at the Federal Justice Cultural Center and “Sobre Dobras” at the Correios Cultural Center. In Niterói, her shows include "Alguma coisa atravessa pelos poros" at mGaleria UFF, “Lugar Algum” and "Desdobramentos” at CC Paschoal Carlos Magno, and “Cotidiano” in the Singular Art Circuit. In Cataguases, MG, she showcased “Percepções Alternadas” at the Francisca Peixoto Institute and “Todas as Cores,” an itinerant exhibition at the Museu da Cia Força e Luz and Cultural Plants of Leopoldina and Manhuaçú, MG. In São Paulo, she exhibited "Andréa Facchini" at Galeria Thomas Cohn and participated in a group show with the scope of a solo exhibition at MARP, Ribeirão Preto, SP.

Group and Institutional Exhibitions: Facchini's work has been shown in galleries such as Mercedes Viegas, Luciana Caravello, Amarelonegro, and Sergio Gonçalves in Rio de Janeiro, as well as Oscar Cruz and Galeria Thomas Cohn in São Paulo. Institutionally, she has exhibited at SESC Ramos, SESC Nova Iguaçu, Correios Cultural Center, IBEU, Parque Lage EAV, BNDES, IAB, Solar Meninos de Luz, Ateliê Euvira, Antiga Fábrica Bhering, and CEDIM in Rio; Ingá Museum, Antonio Parreiras Museum, SESC, UFF, and MAC Contemporary Art Museum in Niterói; Memorial da América Latina and Ateliê 397 in São Paulo; Egydio A. Coser Cultural Space in Vitória (ES); Fundação Cultural de Itajaí in Santa Catarina, and the State Museum of Pará in Belém, PA.

Fairs and Awards:
Facchini has participated in prestigious art fairs such as SPArte, ArteBA, ArteRio, Parte, and Artigo. She was selected for the National Art Salon in Itajaí, SC and “Novíssimos” at Galeria do IBEU, Rio, and won the Acquisition Award at the Arte Pará Salon and the Painting Award at the Salon d’Automne of Latin America in São Paulo, earning her a spot in the Salon d’Automne in Paris, France. Her works are part of the collections of the Correios Cultural Center (RJ) and the State Museum of Pará. She is currently represented by Sergio Gonçalves Galeria in Rio de Janeiro.
