Regina Scalzilli Silveira (Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, 1939) is a renowned multimedia artist, printmaker, painter, and professor from Brazil. She completed her bachelor's degree in painting at the Institute of Arts of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (IA/UFGRS) in 1959, where she studied under masters like Aldo Locatelli and Ado Malagoli. In the early 1960s, Regina honed her skills in painting with Iberê Camargo and printmaking with Francisco Stockinger and Marcelo Grassmann at the Ateliê Livre of the Municipal Prefecture of Porto Alegre.

In 1967, as a fellow of the Instituto de Cultura Hispânica, she studied at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters in Madrid, broadening her artistic education and influences. Two years later, in 1969, she was invited to teach courses at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at the University of Puerto Rico, where she shared her knowledge and experience with new students and artists.

Regina Silveira is known for her innovative works that explore shadows, perspectives, and optical illusions, often addressing urban and social themes. Her work has been exhibited in numerous national and international exhibitions, cementing her place as one of Brazil's most important and influential artists.
