Flávio Cerqueira (São Paulo, 1983) is a Brazilian artist whose practice is primarily centered on sculpture. Recognized for his figurative works in bronze, he brings the tradition of figurative sculpture into dialogue with reflections on social, racial, and class issues within Brazilian society.

Born in São Paulo and raised on the outskirts of Guarulhos, Cerqueira graduated in Fine Arts from Faculdade Paulista de Artes (FPA) in 2005 and later earned a PhD in Visual Arts from the Institute of Arts at São Paulo State University (Unesp).

During his undergraduate studies, a visit to the Pinacoteca de São Paulo provided a significant encounter with classical sculpture. This experience sparked his interest in bronze, a material that would become central to his artistic practice and the development of his visual language.
