Vicente De Mello

Lives and works in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Vicente de Mello graduated in Social Communications from Estácio de Sá University and further studied Art History and Brazil Architecture, in Pontificial Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. He has worked in the Photography Department at the Rio de Janeiro Museum of Modern Art from 1989 to 1998. He has been developing his photography research, first presented in 1992, with series such as: Topografia Imaginária (1994 -1997), Os negativos estão em meu poder (1992 – 2016), Moiré (1995), Noite americana (1998 – 2014), Bestiário (1997), Vermelhos telúricos (2001 – 2016), Galáctica (2000 – 2016), Herbária (2009), SLIDETRIP (2001 – 2013), O Cinematógrafo (2009 – 2015), Quantas ASAS tem um Pixel? (2007 – 2105), STROBO ( 2009), Pli selon pli (2010), Orquestra de trombones (2010), Silent City (2012), Lapidus (2013), Opere (2013), Sete dias (2014), Ultramarino(2015), Fugitivo / Pequod (2015), Zoom Cabinet (2106), Notlim Olhetob (2106).
