Taro Shinoda

Taro Shinoda is a Japanese visual artist born in Tokyo in 1964. After studying landscape gardening, Shinoda began working as a visual artist, developing a diverse body of work that includes drawing, sculpture, video, and installations. His work delves deeply into the relationship between humans and nature, earning substantial international acclaim.

Shinoda's works are included in significant collections, such as the Mori Art Museum, the LOUIS VUITTON Foundation, and NISSAN MOTOR CO., LTD. His major international exhibitions include "Garden of Earthly Delights" at Martin-Gropius-Bau (Berlin, 2019), the Sydney Biennale (Sydney, 2016), the Sharjah Biennale (Sharjah, 2015), Mori Art Museum (Tokyo, 2010), and Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art (Hiroshima, 2002). Shinoda will also participate in the Saitama Triennale 2020.
