Lucas Lenci was born in São Paulo, 1980 and holds degrees in industrial design and photography. His photography career began through his experiences as executive producer for commercial and editorial photography projects in Brazil and abroad. After season in New York, where he worked as an art director, he returned to Sao Paulo to open own studio and began working with agencies and private clients. In 2010, he launched Fotospot, an online platform fostering authorial photography in Brazil. He is the grandson of Peter Scheier, a leading German photographer living in Brazil in the decades 40-70, who then covered much of the national events. Today, Lucas is in charge of the Institute Peter Scheier and cares for the personal collection of photographs left by his grandfather. His works are part of private and corporate collections such as Banco Santander and Banco Espirito Santo. Desaudio, a publication of his photographical work released in 2014 was exhibited at the Photo Book Show at Tokyo Institute of Japanese Photography, a finalist for the Premio Jabuti in Brazil, as well as third in the Prix de la Photographie Paris. He was amongst the first selection of photographers by the Photo Paulista Academy, won the Arts Award in 2013 for the SP / Art, international trade fair and also two honorable mentions in 2010 and 2015 from the IPA - International Photography Award.
