Jorge Leite

Jorge Leite was born in 1955 in Lavras, Minas Gerais. His artistic journey began in Belo Horizonte at the School of Fine Arts of UFMG in 1980, but it was under the tutelage of sculptor Francisco Stockinger in Porto Alegre that he discovered his true passion for marble sculpture. Between 1999 and 2000, Leite dedicated two years to intensive study with Stockinger, honing his sculptural techniques and skills.

Today, Jorge Leite is recognized for his significant contributions to the world of sculpture, with his works included in prestigious collections in Belo Horizonte, São Paulo, Porto Alegre, Rio de Janeiro, Brasília, and the United States. He is a permanent artist at the renowned Dotart Galleries in Belo Horizonte and Tina Zappoli in Porto Alegre. Currently, Jorge Leite resides and works in Gravataí, Rio Grande do Sul, where he continues to develop his artistic expression through sculpture.
