Fabrício Lopez

Fabrício Lopez (Santos, SP, 1977) lives and works in Santos, SP, Brazil. He holds a master's degree in visual poetics from the School of Communications and Arts of the University of São Paulo (ECA-USP), under the guidance of Cláudio Mubarac. Lopez is a founding member of the Jatobá Cultural Association – AJA and the Espaço Coringa Studio, which produced collective actions including exhibitions, publications, videos, classes, exchanges, and artistic residencies from 1998 to 2009.

He has participated in several important group exhibitions such as "Gravure Extreme" at Europalia, "Trilhas do Desejo" at Rumos Itaú Cultural, and won the first prize at the X Santos Biennial. He also exhibited at "Novas Gravuras" at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, the XIII International Art Biennial of Vila Nova de Cerveira in Portugal, and the "Contemporary Art in the Municipal Collection" at the São Paulo Cultural Center. He took part in the Pan American Woodcut Meeting in Trois Rivières, Canada, and held residencies as an invited artist at the Atelier Engramme in Quebec and at the CRAC in Valparaiso, Chile, as part of the Rumos Itaú Cultural award.

Lopez has had significant solo exhibitions at the Maria Antonia University Center, the Estação Pinacoteca in São Paulo, and the São Paulo Cultural Center. His works are included in major public collections such as the São Paulo Municipal and State Pinacotecas, the Casa do Olhar in Santo André, the Santos Municipal Culture Secretariat, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, having received the first prize for works on paper from the Itamaraty acquisitions program.
