Fabio Zimbres (São Paulo, SP, 1960) is a multifaceted artist who lives and works in Porto Alegre, RS. Educated in architecture and arts, Zimbres is also a graphic designer, exhibition organizer, painter, illustrator, and comic book author. He started his artistic career in São Paulo in the 1980s, emerging in the comic scene by producing fanzines and serving as one of the editors of the influential alternative comic magazine Animal.

Founder and editor of Edições Tonto, Zimbres publishes works by various Brazilian alternative cartoonists and some Latin American authors through the Mini Tonto Collection. In 2006, he released the graphic novel "Music for Anthropomorphs," which was both inspired by and an inspiration for the CD by the rock band Mechanics.

In the realm of exhibitions, Fabio Zimbres has held solo shows at notable venues such as Adesivo Gallery and the Work Museum in Porto Alegre, the Recoleta Cultural Center in Buenos Aires, and the Design Festa Gallery in Tokyo.
