Estela Sokol

Estela Sokol (Brazil, 1979) lives and works in São Paulo, SP. She is recognized for her participation in numerous exhibitions both in Brazil and internationally. Among her notable solo exhibitions are "Secret Forest" at Gallery 32 in London (2011), "Licht Konkret" at Galerie Wuensch in Linz, Austria (2011), "A Morte das Ofélias" at Galeria Anita Schwartz in Rio de Janeiro (2011), "Clarabóia" at Paço das Artes in São Paulo (2010), and "Sol de Inverno" at Palácio das Artes in Belo Horizonte (2008). Her group exhibitions include the III Bienal Del Fin Del Mundo in Ushuaia, Argentina (2011), the 16th Bienal de Cerveira in Portugal (2011), and "Nova escultura Brasileira" at Caixa Econômica in Rio de Janeiro (2011). Sokol has also received significant awards such as the "I Concurso Itamaraty de Arte Contemporânea" (2011) and was recognized in the Brazil Contemporary Art Program by the São Paulo Biennial Foundation in 2010.
