Carla Zaccagnini

Carla Zaccagnini, born in 1973 in Buenos Aires, is a prominent Brazilian artist and curator. She moved to Brazil in 1981, where she later completed her undergraduate degree in Fine Arts at the Armando Alvares Penteado Foundation in São Paulo in 1995. Between 2001 and 2004, she completed her master's in Visual Poetics at the School of Communication and Arts at the University of São Paulo.

In her career, Zaccagnini has achieved recognition both in Brazil and internationally. In 2021, she was a guest curator at the 34th São Paulo Biennial, a milestone in her professional trajectory. Her works are part of renowned collections, such as the Tate Museum in London and the Guggenheim Museum. One of her notable works, "Elements of Beauty: A Tea Set is Never Just a Tea Set" (2014-2015), is in the collection of the São Paulo Art Museum. Through her artistic and curatorial practice, Zaccagnini explores themes that interlink cultural and historical issues, establishing an ongoing dialogue between art, society, and politics.
