Antonio Malta Campos

Antonio Malta Campos (São Paulo, 1961) lives and works in São Paulo. He was one of the founders of Ateliê Casa 7, a collective formed in the late 1970s by young painters who, like him, studied at Colégio Equipe. After a year in the group, he moved to another studio, working alongside Maína Junqueira.

His first solo exhibition took place in February 1985 at the Centro Cultural São Paulo, invited by Gabriel Borba, with the show Apto 13. In 1987, he took part in the group exhibition Olho & Óleo at MAM São Paulo. He then resumed his Architecture studies at FAU USP and worked as an architect until 1997. In 1998, he returned to artistic production, participating in the group show Além do Arco-Íris at FAAP. He held a solo exhibition at Galeria SESC Paulista in 1999, followed by solo shows at Galeria Virgilio in 2004 and 2007. In 2012, he exhibited again at Centro Cultural São Paulo, in collaboration with Erika Verzutti.
