Ana Júlia Vilela

A Journey in Brazilian Visual Arts

Graduated in Visual Arts from the University of Pelotas (UFpel), Vilela is an artist who has been making a mark on the Brazilian art scene. Throughout her career, she has amassed a series of solo exhibitions in significant cultural spaces. In 2012, her works were showcased at the Municipal Museum House of Memory in Cajamar, where she was noted for her unique approach to visual narratives. In 2019, Vilela exhibited at the Ribeirão Preto Art Museum (MARP), where her pieces received acclaim from critics and audiences alike.

More recently, in 2021, her creations were displayed at the Ecarta Foundation in Porto Alegre and the Central Gallery in São Paulo, further solidifying her reputation as an innovative and influential artist in Brazil. Vilela’s work is known for exploring contemporary themes through a variety of mediums, reflecting on social and cultural issues through a refined and engaged aesthetic.
