Rodrigo Bivar has a degree in Visual Arts at Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado (2005). In 2020, Bivar was awarded the major prize from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant 2020-2021, and in 2008 he was awarded the Acquisition Prize from Centro Cultural de São Paulo, when he held his first individual exhibition at this institution, in the “Exhibition Program”, CCSP (2008). Since then, he did several solo exhibitions, highlighting: Turista Azul: Season of Projects, at Paço das Artes (2010) and Rodrigo Bivar, at Fundação de Arte de Ouro Preto (2010); Lapa, at Galeria Millan (2015); Nothing thinks nothing, Galeria Athena (2016); Rodrigo Bivar, at Instituto Figueiredo Ferraz (2017) and É Umas, Galeria Millan (2018). Since 2005, Rodrigo Bivar has been part of group exhibitions among which: Construções e Geometrias, at Museu Brasileiro da Escultura e Ecologia (2019); The Many and the One: Brazilian Contemporary Art, at Instituto Tomie Ohtake (2016); SESC VideoBrasil: 18th Festival Internacional de Arte Contemporânea, SESC Pompéia (2013); 7 SP – Seven Artists from São Paulo, C.A.B. Contemporary Art in Brussels (2012); Panoramas do Sul: 17th Festival Internacional de Arte Contemporânea SESC_VideoBrasil, SESC Belenzinho (2011); Grau Zero, Paço das Artes (2009) and 2000 e 8, at SESC Pinheiros (2008).
