Guiga

Guiga

The artist began to work on the streets, becoming a reference in the so called “throw-up” caligraphy (bi-color balloons that are executed quickly and have a messy format). An important piece of inspiration to Guiga is the Zona Leste area of São Paulo, as well as on trains, walls and freeways in the city.
The artists first contact with galleries came in the year 2014, with works using bricks and tiles as his base support. Guiga’s works are literal reproductions of what he sees on the streets.
