Fernanda Naman began her artistic career interested in painting. She began studying the subject at Escola Panamericana de Arte in São Paulo in 1984. In 1993 the artist travelled to Italy to learn more about Art History and painting and took classes at the Lorenzo De Medici school in Florence.
Naman later specialized in Photography thanks to furthering her education, taking classes with Márcia Xavier at the Tomie Ohtake institute in São Paulo. The artist's first solo exhibitions happened in 2003 and 2004 at the Brazilian Embassy in Rome and at the Centro Cultural Hospital Albert Einstein respectively. In 2005 the artist showcased her work at the New Century Artists Gallery in New York and in 2006 Naman also exhibited at the Centro Histórico Mackenzie in São Paulo. Fernanda has also presented her works at the International Contemporary Art Biennale in Italy and in galleries in New York, Miami and São Paulo.
