Dora Longo Bahia (São Paulo, SP, 1961) is a multimedia artist who began her career in 1984, working with set design, illustration, and performance. She graduated in Art Education from the Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado - Faap in 1987, where she was a student of Nelson Leirner. During this time, she focused on metal engraving, often depicting comic book heroes. Since the 1990s, her paintings have explored urban conditions, addressing themes such as violence, sex, and death. Between 1992 and 1995, she played bass in the band Disk-Putas, where she also performed. She has participated in exhibitions in Brazil and internationally, including the 6th Havana Biennial in 1997. Besides her artistic practice, Dora has been an illustrator for Folha de S. Paulo since 1993 and a painting professor at Faap since 1994. From 2000 to 2003, she completed her master's degree in visual poetics at the School of Communications and Arts at the University of São Paulo - ECA/USP. She is also a member of the rock bands Verafischer and Maradonna.
