Bettina Vaz Guimarães

Is a prominent Brazilian visual artist, graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at FAAP. She lives and works in São Paulo. Her art focuses mainly on painting and drawing, influenced by the still life genre as noted by art critic Katia Canton. Since 2002, Bettina has been actively participating in various art salons across Brazil, receiving multiple awards.

Her exhibition track record is extensive, including solo shows at Lyons Wier Gallery in New York (2014), Quase Galeria in Porto (2014), Museu de Arte de Ribeirão Preto (2013), and Galeria Progetti in Rio de Janeiro (2012). She was selected for individual exhibitions by the Funarte Visual Arts Spaces Exhibitions Program, São Paulo (2008), and the Annual Exhibitions Program of the São Paulo Cultural Center (2006).

Among her group exhibitions, she notably participated in the Siart Biennial in Bolivia (2013), "About Change" in Washington DC (2011), Ateliê Fidalga at Paço das Artes, São Paulo (2010), Cerveira Biennial in Portugal (2009), "Poetics of Nature" at MAC São Paulo (2008), and the 12th Bahia Salon at MAM Salvador (2005).

In 2013, the book "Bettina Vaz Guimarães" was released, compiling analyses from renowned Brazilian art critics such as Moacir dos Anjos, Ricardo Rezende, Katia Canton, and Mario Gioia, highlighting her significant contribution to contemporary art.
