Intersection of Art, Philosophy, and Literature

Ana Pinheiro is a distinguished visual artist, researcher, philosopher, educator, and art restorer specializing in paper in Brazil. She holds a Master's degree in Letters from the University of São Paulo (USP), where her academic research spans Philosophy, Literature, and the History of Arab thought, conducted at the Department of Oriental Letters (DLO/FFLCH/USP). She also has a degree in Philosophy and a teaching degree from the Faculty of Education at USP.

With a deep passion for education, Ana created and taught a three-year course in Philosophy at the Fundação Da. Michie Akama for 15 years, as well as teaching at other prestigious institutions. As an artist, Ana primarily develops her work through drawing, exploring its foundational and adaptable nature across various projects, including the notable "Livramento," which integrates drawing, artist book, suspended sculpture, and book-object.

Her artistic work seeks an intimate connection with literature and objects, particularly books, in a poetics that unfolds from encounters, deconstructing languages and objects. Ana is also involved in collaborative projects such as "Ecological Links" and "The continent that continues as an archipelago," reinforcing her commitment to sustainability and interdisciplinarity.

Ana Pinheiro has been participating in exhibitions both in Brazil and internationally since 2005, solidifying her position as an artist of relevance in both the artistic and academic scenes.
