Innovation at the Intersection of Art and Design

Ale Jordão, a prominent São Paulo artist, was educated in fine arts at FAAP in the late 90s, where he had the opportunity to study under renowned figures such as Sandra Cinto, Dora Longo Bahia, and Nelson Leirner, the latter being a crucial reference in his journey. He furthered his education in design at the Domus Academy in Milan, known for its influence on Italian post-modern design and architecture of the 70s and 80s, seeking a new dimension for his creations.

Since starting his professional artistic career in 2001, Ale Jordão has developed a notable body of work both materially and conceptually, uniquely positioning himself at the intersection of art and design. For Jordão, the art-object transcends its form, carrying and communicating the meanings inherent in its construction methods. This perspective is heavily influenced by technology and design, which play significant roles in his works.

Throughout his career, Ale Jordão has held numerous exhibitions, both solo and group, that have not only solidified his presence in the Brazilian art scene, in cities like São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Salvador, but also extended his recognition internationally, with exhibitions in metropolises such as Paris, Milan, London, and New York. This trajectory highlights the versatility and innovation in his work, marking Ale Jordão as a prominent figure in contemporary Brazilian art, continuing to explore the fluid boundaries between art and design.
