An Artist from the Americas

Alberto Cedrón, born on the banks of the Rio de la Plata in Buenos Aires on May 9, 1937, was an Argentine artist who traveled extensively, always with his profession, craft, or whatever one might call it. From childhood, he showed an inclination towards the arts, beginning to draw on the walls of his house's kitchen at the age of 6. This early passion evolved into a life dedicated to artistic expression across a variety of mediums and materials, from walls to stone and metal.

Cedrón had a strong connection with Brazil, where he lived at different times in Joinville, São Paulo, Búzios, and Porto Alegre, where he had a son with a woman from Rio Grande do Sul between 1997 and 1999. His legacy extends beyond Argentina, with mural works also found in Venezuela and Portugal, the latter being a country where he lived for many years before returning to Buenos Aires in 2003. Alberto Cedrón passed away in the Argentine capital in 2007, leaving behind a body of work that crosses borders and times, marked by the diversity of his experiences and the richness of his cultural influences.
