Academic Background

Adriana Brzezinska boasts a robust academic background, starting with a specialization in History with access to a doctoral program at the Universidade Portucalense Infante Dom Henrique, now known as the University of Porto, completed in 2002/03. Concurrently, she enhanced her education at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), where she pursued Didactic Pedagogy, Teaching Practice, Arts Teaching Methodology, and completed a Supervised Internship in Arts. From 2001 to 2002, she specialized in Modern and Contemporary Art History at the School of Music and Fine Arts of Paraná (EMBAP) in Curitiba. Brzezinska also holds a bachelor's degree in Painting from the same institution, earned between 1995 and 1998.

Additional Training

Brzezinska's artistic journey is characterized by a continuous pursuit of improvement and exploration of various media. In 2017, she participated in the Artistic Cultural Residency at the Mokiti Okada Foundation in São Paulo. Her interest in lithography was deepened in 2003 with Everly Giller at Solar do Barão, and in 2002, she explored the relationship between Art and Aesthetic Experience with Maria José Justino. Also in 2002, Brzezinska expanded her understanding of curatorial practices in a course taught by Helmut Batista at UFPR.

Brzezinska also dedicated herself to studying ceramics with Alice Yamamura at the Alfredo Andersen Museum in 2000 and attended a seminar with Fayga Ostrower on significant figures in art in 1999. She delved into the persistence of painting in the post-modern era with Luiz Sérgio de Oliveira and honed her photography skills with Roberto Pitella between 1998 and 1999.
